‘THE BEACH BOYS’ CELEBRATE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF ‘WILD HONEY’ ALBUM IN THE SSE ARENA, BELFAST

Dancing in the aisles is the hallmark of success for most music concerts and The Beach Boys managed to do just that at the SSE Arena in the Belfast Odyssey Complex this weekend.

On tour, celebrating the 50th anniversary release of their album ‘Wild Honey,’ the iconic California band warmed up the audience with a host of all-time favorites from ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice?’ to ‘Sloop John B’ and ‘Surfin’ USA’ before ending the concert with a flurry of fast-moving hits including ‘Good Vibrations,’ ‘Fun, Fun, Fun’ and ‘Help Me, Rhonda’ that brought an enthusiastic audience to their feet to scurry down the center aisle for a bit of boogying stage-front.

16th August 1977 was the day Elvis Presley “The King” died but he left a lasting impact on the world that went well beyond that of music.

Growing up in Belfast the music of Elvis had a profound effect on me. My mum was an avid fan, she played the music of Elvis regularly and to me that music was inspirational, it filled me with an intensity with spiritual lyrics.

Olly Murs ends his tour in style at The SSE Arena!

Last Wednesday Olly Murs ended his UK & Ireland Tour with an electric performance at The SSE Arena, Belfast! The atmosphere in the Arena was buzzing, with over 9000 fans turning up to see him round of his tour. Fans were treated to all of his greatest hits including Wrapped Up & Dance With Me Tonight, as well as lots of new material off his new album. One thing’s for sure…Olly Murs is a true performer who knows how to put on a show for his fans – they were loving every minute of it!
