2018 – Our Review

With such an epic year behind us, we thought we’d give you a roundup of all the amazing things you’ve experienced…or in the worst case scenario, you missed out on.

January – March

Off to a freezing start in January with our Winter Skate and the amazing Stena Line Belfast Giants season was in full swing! January to March saw the Giants battling in the Challenge Cup, which they ultimately won!

January saw 15,000 of us #DoTheStrictly with Craig Revel Horwood and Ore Oduba. February saw us kick off the 2018 NI Science Festival with Colonel Chris Hadfield, which was a huge success, and even ended it with his rendition of ‘Space Oddity’ by Bowie. February through March let us sing our little hearts out to The Script, Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Niall Horan and Nathan Carter to name a few.

April – June

April got us in fighting spirit, Frampton was back! We’ve never heard Sweet Caroline sound so sweet when victory was in the air. In May we were OBSESSED with film and TV with shows from Fast & Furious Live, WWE Live and Game of Thrones Live Experience. We were loling in June. Michael McIntyre was in the building for 2 nights and had us in stitches the whole time. We ended June just how we did in April, in fighting spirit with Michael Conlan. Victory was in the air once again.

August – September

August and September saw us go back to the old classics. Iron Maiden rocked the arena, while Shania Twain stamped leopard print all over it and Cliff Richard took some well needed sing-alongs to it. August – September also saw the Belfast Giants take on the 2018-2019 season with a bang with 7 games under their belt, including 2 games against the Manitoba Bisons.

October – December

55 events in 3 months, that’s an event every other day! From Farmers Bash, Lush, Cirque Du Soleil OVO, U2, Disney On Ice, Kevin Bridges, Mumford and Sons, Friendship Four, Def Leppard, Andre Rieu, Snow Patrol, Fastlove and ended it with a magical Winter Skate on New Year’s Eve.

A massive thanks for all the sing-alongs, screaming and shouting. We can’t wait to do it all again in 2019. Bring. It. On.

Check out our social channels, website and sign-up to our Newsletter so you never miss the next big gig. Much like Westlife who come back in May…can you tell we’re excited?
